Arrive Sunday afternoon and enjoy a three-course Gala Dinner followed by some high-class Big Band entertainment in the evening. The following day enjoy a visit on the way home as described below.

Last Night of the Proms Nottingham 23/24 July 2017

A grand orchestral concert: evocative sounds of the war years (The Dam Busters, 633 Squadron, We’ll Meet Again), popular music of the 50s, 60s and 70s and some iconic film and theatre music and a proper flag waving finale with Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and the National Anthem.

Following a cooked and continental style buffet breakfast we leave the hotel at 10.00am to travel about 90 minutes South to Stamford for a three hour visit to Elizabethan Burghley House ; the backdrop to films including Pride & Prejudice and Elizabeth the Golden Age. There is a café on site where you can buy a light lunch before continuing the journey home at 2.30pm.

Big Band Broadway Musicals Staverton Park, Daventry 13/14 August 2017

3-course Gala Dinner & Broadway Musicals with the Mike James Orchestra & Singers. On Monday visit the WW2 Code Breaking HQ at Bletchley Park which is a 75 minute drive South of Daventry.

Big Band Salute to James Last Nottingham 29/30 October 2017

The Mike James Orchestra & Singers are a vibrant professional big band with a powerful signature brass section and talented soloists and vocalists. On Monday a land train tour at the National Memorial Arboretum and head home 3.00pm.

Festive Big Band SleepOver Nottingham 3/4 December 2017

Big Band & Gala dinner Sunday. On Monday we depart 10am & drive to Birmingham for a three hour visit to enjoy the Frankfurt Style Christmas Market and a two-course lunch with coffee (included) before heading home at 2.30pm.
